A personal shopper is someone who is paid to help another to purchase goods, either by accompanying them while shopping or by shopping on their behalf.

You need to be able to communicate easily and listen to what your client wants you to buy.

No formal education is needed but previous experience of working in a retail shop would be beneficial.

Certain department and boutique stores employ personal shoppers for their clients in which case you would be paid by that particular shop.

If you are a freelance personal shopper, then you can charge by the hour for your services.
